چکیده

The aim of the present investigation was to calculate stress distribution generated in root dentine canal during mechanical rotation five different NiTi endodontic instruments by means a finite element analysis (FEA). Two conventional alloy F360 25/04 and F6 Skytaper 25/06, comparison three heat treated alloys NiTI Hyflex CM 25/04, Protaper Next 25/06 One Curve were considered analyzed. instruments’ flexibility (reaction force) geometrical features (cross section, conicity) previously investigated. For each instrument, canals with two elastic moduli(18 42 GPa) simulated defined apical ratios. Ten CAD instrument models created their behaviors analyzed 3D-FEA. Static structural analyses performed non-failure condition, since linear behavior assumed for all components. All area concentration correspondence curvature at approx. 7 mm from apex. maximum values found when highest modulus canal. Strain von Mises patterns showed higher first part curved radius instruments. Conventional Ni-Ti demonstrated magnitudes, regardless conicity 4% 6%, they sound, as well mineralized canals. Heat-treated reduced map. displayed lowest of, respectively, 35.73 44.30 GPa sound dentine. rotary influenced moduli rigidity.

Application of finite element analysis in root canal therapy

Finite element analysis (FEA) is an engineering method for the numerical analysis of complex structures based on their material properties. It is used to determine the distribution of stress when a structure is subjected to force. Recently, FEA has been employed in endodontic. Endodontic diseases, such as pulpits or periradicular periodontitis, often require root canal therapy. During or after ...

Analysis of kinematic, kinetic and electromyographic patterns during root canal preparation with rotary and manual instruments

OBJECTIVE This study assessed the muscular activity during root canal preparation through kinematics, kinetics, and electromyography (EMG). MATERIAL AND METHODS The operators prepared one canal with RaCe rotary instruments and another with Flexo-files. The kinematics of the major joints was reconstructed using an optoelectronic system and electromyographic responses of the flexor carpi radial...

SEM evaluation of canal wall dentine following use of Mtwo and ProTaper NiTi rotary instruments.

AIM To compare using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) root canal walls following instrumentation in vitro with two different rotary NiTi instruments. The hypothesis was that no difference should be observable between the experimental groups in terms of debris on canal walls and surface morphology. METHODOLOGY Twenty-four single-rooted human teeth were selected. Two types of NiTi instruments...
